After high school I could be going to college or moving to LA. I could be studying psychology or starting my career as a public figure. There are so many possibilities. As a middle schooler I don’t necessary have a plan for what im going to do after high school. But if i where to make a plan id say after high school i would go to college for 4 years get my bachelors degree. If i decide that i don’t want to go to college right away I would want to take a gap year and maybe travel the world and do things i have never done and only dreamed of doing.
Personally I think that the worth of college can and cant be worth it. It just depends on what you’re going to do and be. If you want to be a doctor, a teacher, architect, a science engineer, etc. it is worth it but if you want to be an artist, a singer, actor or anything you know does not require a college degree i would say it isn’t worth spending the money on something you wont need. I believe that you need to be sure of what you’re doing and decide off of that.
Some people may say college is worth the cost but others may say its not worth the cost. Many people go to college because of the increase in job opportunities. Others go to college because of the interest in learning and the opportunities to expand their knowledge. Some people who thought they needed to go to college say it wasn’t going to be worth spending all the money on a degree they weren’t going to need.
An article called Is College Worth the Cost by Emma Kerr says “The average college graduate earns a salary that is over $30,000 more than an average worker with only a high school diploma, according new research by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.” To me this means that with a college degree there is a higher chance of earning more money compared to someone with only a high school diploma. As i said, it also opens up more job opportunities.
